Obituary of Marilyn Fay Hartson

On February 21st 2023, Marilyn Fay Hartson got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 92 years old. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends after a battle with cancer.

Born Marilyn F. DeWitt on 1/6/1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Marilyn didn't share the dream of stardom that so many people aspire to. Her dream was to get married and have children. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children. Anyone who knew them knew that she was a star in their eyes, and that's all that ever mattered to her. She was an accomplished singer and being a devout Christian, contributed her talents to many Church Choirs over the years. She had an appearance on a television show before getting married and finding her calling as a mother to all.

Marilyn is survived by nine of her eleven children: Henry M. Langley, Linda A. Langley, James W. Langley, Jeanne D. Jameson, Gerald E. Langley, Fredrick P. Langley, Evelyn K. Langley, Lorna L. Massey and Loretta E. Balmy. She had two children that passed before her, Raymond E. Langley and Stephen H. Langley. A memorial service will be held at 3349 Seaborg Way in Sacramento to be announced at a later date.

Marilyn left a legacy of 36 Grandchildren, 67 Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.

Marilyn married Lawrence N. Baulch in 1948 and divorced in 1956. Marilyn outlived her husband James N. Langley who she married on 6/22/1958 and he passed on 8/9/1983. She outlived John D. Pratt who she married on 3/24/1986 and he passed on 3/29/2005. She outlived Elmer C. Hartson who she married on 1/5/2008 and he passed on 7/2/2016.
