Obituary of Jesse N. Dixson

Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

- Romans 8:39

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jesse Natividad Dixson. Jesse was greeted into heaven with a warm embrace from his Lord and Savior on January 19, 2023, at the age of 43.

Jesse was born on November 6, 1979, to Ruth G. Dixson and Thomas Dixson in Sacramento, CA. He was born with a naturally compassionate, empathetic soul and had a charismatic way about him. His personality was infectious. Jesse was a big kid at heart; he loved to laugh and make people laugh with his quick wit and playful sense of humor.

Jesse was a gifted all-around athlete. He was an avid soccer player and enjoyed his time playing softball with friends. He was a die-hard fan of the Sacramento Kings and San Francisco 49ers. Jesse also loved skateboarding and would often cruise around Sacramento, the city he loved, listening to one of his eclectic playlists.

Everyone who knew Jesse complimented his helpful, hardworking nature. He was always generous with his time, offering a helping hand to anyone in need. No matter how big or small of a project or how long it took, he would finish the job and make you laugh the whole time while doing it.

Jesse loved to express his creative side through his artwork. He was a talented artist who loved sharing his drawings, especially with his children and family. He often would sign his work with “Most Sacred” adding a heart with a crown to demonstrate his desire to be more connected to God.

Words cannot come close to expressing how deeply loved Jesse was by his family. We will always hold onto the truth that he was fearfully and wonderfully created by God. Our hearts will forever remember and cherish Jesse as a humorous, kindhearted, caring, beloved son of God.

Jesse is survived by his 3 children: Jessica Dixson, Angela Dixson, and John Paul Dermake; his dad, Thomas Dixson, his 2 sisters: Elesia (Nick) Martinez and Rachelle Dixson; as well as his 2 nephews: Nico and Beni Martinez.
