Obituary of Katherine D. Campouris

CAMPOURIS, Katherine Duffy born 27 June 1924 passed through transition on 15 January 2018 at the age of 93. Born in Bristol, WV, she later made her home in Reno, NV where her three children were born prior to settling permanently in the Sacramento, CA area. Ms. Campouris served two years with the US Navy WAVES during WWII, ten years at the Corps of Engineers and retired after 17 years at the Sacramento Army Depot. Kaye, as her friends and family know her, was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Kaye Norris in 2012 and is survived by her two sons, LaMonte J. Duffy, George D. Duffy, Jr., eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Veterans National Cemetery located in Dixon, CA where all family and friends are welcome to celebrate Kaye’s remarkable life on Thursday, 8 February 2018 at 1:00 p.m. under the gazebo immediately prior to private interment. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the wounded warriors project in honor of all US Veterans.
