Obituary of Myra Lee Golson

Myra L Golson, 75, of Sacramento passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017. She was born June 9, 1942 in Donalsonville, Georgia to Jay G. and Mary L. (Doster) Golson. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ralph J. Boyles; two brothers, Charles H. Golson and Warren G. Golson; three sisters, Mildred L. McCoy, Thelma R. Whitefield, and Helon J. Golson. She is survived by two sons, Ranse E. (LeAnn) Clark of Warrens, Wisconsin and Vance G. (Roxanna) Clark of Sacramento; one brother, Frank J. (Mary-Lynn) Golson of Richland, Georgia; one sister, Agnes L. Mathis of Columbus, Georgia; two grandsons, Eric D. Clark of Goshen, Indiana, and Ross A. (Amanda) Clark of Kenosha, Wisconsin; one granddaughter, Jennifer M. Boyles of Laurel, Mississippi; and one great-granddaughter, Jocelynn Cofield, of Elkhart, Indiana. She worked for the State of California, Franchise Tax Board, retiring in 2007, and has since enjoyed traveling, public speaking, and going on cruises. Myra has been a member of Toastmasters since 1996, and was a DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster). While she has been a member of many clubs throughout the years, her current membership was with Traveling Trainers Toastmasters. Myra served as club officer many times over, on countless District 39 committees and was Governor for several Divisions over the years. Myra was also a Queen in Rancho Cordova’s Scarlett O’Hatter chapter of the Red Hats Society. She was “Mom” to many and will be sorely missed by all she knew.
