Obituary of Michael Stennet

Memorial services will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 2600 Clay St, in Sacramento, on Saturday, February 25th, at 1pm. A public lunch will be held next door following the service. 

A Celebration of Life will be help in Niles at the Niles Community Park on Thursday, February 23rd, at 3pm.  

Michael Anthony Stennet passed away from lung cancer on February 11th, 2023 at the Sherwood Healthcare Center in Sacramento. 

Mike was born September 19th, 1961 to Ramona and Kevin Stennet in San Francisco. He spent his most formative years in Niles, although he lived his last years in Sacramento, Niles would always be his home. 

Mike was a socialite with a kind soul and welcoming personality. He was a self-taught guitar player with a deep love for music who enjoyed playing any chance he had. He was the type of person who would never speak ill of anyone and will be remembered for his kindness and generosity by all who knew him.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ramona and Kevin Stennet and his brother Robert Stennet. He is survived by his sisters, Joanne, Katherine and Michelle; his daughter Teashia Stennet (Jesse Luke) and grandchildren Ignacio, Elias, Xylia, and Birdie; his son Michael (Ashley) Rickman and grandchildren Kellin and Jason; Heidi Rickman and her children Leonardo and Grayson; and long-term partner Valerie Glum.
