Obituary of Edward James Piorun

Edward J. Piorun, 76, of Citrus Heights, CA passed away at his home on June 2, 2022. Edward was born August 26, 1945, to the late Stanley and Mary (Kijowski) Piorun in Auburn, NY. Edward graduated from Port Byron, NY high school in 1963, and Cornell University in 1967. For most of his career, he was an industrial engineer at Carrier Corporation in Syracuse and spent most of his life in the Central New York area. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to play golf, was a Syracuse Orange sports fan, and attended church regularly. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda, and his sister, Rosemary. He is survived by his son Michael, grandchildren Andrew and Julianne, his sister Judy, and nieces and nephews. Services to honor Edward’s life will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edward’s name to Alzheimer’s Association.
