Obituary of Doris K. Kopp

Doris Kopp went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2022 in Sacramento, CA. She was born in 1936 to John and Anna Flohr in Mott, ND where she spent her early years. Throughout her childhood, the family moved to several North Dakota towns, including Raleigh, where she met her husband, Telesphorus (Les) Kopp. In December 1954, she went to visit Les, who was living in Sacramento, CA. During her visit, they married and she became a California girl. Doris was a devoted mother to three daughters, always willing to lend a helping hand at the school and church. She also volunteered with many activities in which her girls participated. Doris supported her grandchildren and great-grandchildren by attending many of their games and other events. She was fondly known as Nana Dot to many and always had a gift for every child on birthday and holiday celebrations. She lunched, played cards, chatted on the phone, and went on many outings with her large circle of friends. She was an avid shopper, always seeking and finding bargains. Doris also loved her Sacramento Kings. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, brother John (Edith) Flohr, sister Dolores (John) Gross, and beloved son-in-law, Conrad Jimenez. Doris was the loving mother of Sharon (David) Anthony, Janet (Conrad) Jimenez, and Susan Kopp. She will be greatly missed by cherished grandchildren Amanda (Kristen) Anthony, Carissa (Richard) Esparza, Jonathan (Angela) Anthony, Joseph Kopp, and Tonia Anderson. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren Richard, Guadalupe, Aligene, Hannah, Lucy, Selena, Israel, Porter, Samantha, Carson, and great-great-granddaughter, Ariana. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Interment will be private. Details for a Celebration of Life to be held later this year will be posted here.
